The mission of the NYS Association for the Prevention & Treatment of Sexual Abusers (NYS ATSA) is to actively work towards the reduction of sexual victimization through comprehensive measures and community engagement. We are committed to promoting the increase, uniformity, and quality of assessment and treatment services for both juvenile and adult sexual offenders, recognizing the vital role they play in preventing reoffending and promoting rehabilitation. Additionally, we strive to foster the development of a fully integrated continuum of services for sexual offenders, ensuring a holistic approach to their treatment and reintegration. We advocate for legislation on issues and funding that impact sex offenders and survivors, aiming to create a supportive and accountable environment for all stakeholders involved. Our dedication to offender accountability is realized through the implementation of restitution, mediation, treatment, supervision, and incarceration as necessary measures to ensure justice and protect the community.
